Mclaren 720s Performance
The 720S was a massive step forward for McLaren. Built around the carbon fibre Monocage II, it paired a new-generation 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 with McLaren's 7-speed seamless-shift gearbox, producing 710 horsepower in a car weighing just over 1,400 kg. The numbers remain serious even by today's standards: 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 7.8 seconds, and a top speed of 341 km/h. This 2018 Performance Coupe is particularly well specified, finished in MSO Quartz Metallic, a deep metallic colour that shifts dramatically between near-black, burgundy and purple depending on the light. The specification carries through with Carbon Fibre Exterior Upgrade Pack 3, an MSO Defined carbon fibre rear deck and engine cover, carbon fibre secondary interior components, MSO steering wheel paddles and MSO red seatbelts. The car remains completely factory and unmodified and is protected by full-body paint protection film. Importantly, the roof glass remains intact and free of cracks, a particularly noteworthy condition item on the 720S given the prevalence of cracked roof glass on these cars. The carbon structure, hydraulic suspension system and immense power gave it hypercar-level pace, yet the visibility, ride quality and surprisingly usable cabin made it a car that could actually be driven regularly. Even several generations of supercars later, a 720S is still properly fast. The specification is what separates this particular example. Quartz Metallic is already an unusual MSO colour, but paired with the extensive factory carbon, MSO details, Performance specification, lightweight forged wheels and red and black interior, the entire car feels cohesive rather than simply option-heavy.
